Medical-Engineering Collaboration Seminar: "Cybersecurity in Medical Device Development - Practical Measures Considered Throughout the Product Lifecycle -"

医工連携セミナー 「医療機器開発におけるサイバーセキュリティ -製品ライフサイクル全体で考える実践的対策-」

When medical devices are targeted by cyberattacks, the impact extends beyond the individual device to the entire healthcare network, potentially causing serious harm to patients and healthcare professionals. To address such threats, continuous cybersecurity measures to ensure effectiveness and safety throughout the entire product lifecycle are now mandatory requirements in both domestic and international regulations for medical devices.
This seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of key points that medical device manufacturers should be aware of, including the latest trends in cybersecurity based on the framework and requirements of the International Forum of Medical Device Regulators (IMDRF), relevant laws and regulations, and response frameworks from planning and design to post-market maintenance. We encourage all companies interested in cybersecurity in medical device development to participate.
Detailed information regarding cybersecurity for medical devices is available on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's website. To enhance your understanding of the lecture content, we recommend that you review the information on the website below beforehand.
