Medical-Engineering Collaboration Seminar: "The Cutting Edge of AI-Powered Medical Device Development - Overview"

In recent years, AI-powered medical devices have been emerging one after another, particularly in the field of medical imaging diagnosis, making significant contributions to improving diagnostic accuracy and shifting tasks among healthcare professionals. However, in order to appropriately introduce AI technology into medical devices and bring them to market, it is essential to correctly understand the characteristics of AI-equipped medical devices, such as the gap between the development environment and performance in clinical settings, performance changes over time after commercialization, and quality assurance after additional training.
In this seminar, Mr. Takeshi Funahashi of the Japan Association of Medical Imaging Systems Industries will provide a systematic explanation, starting from the basics, covering everything from the evolutionary trends of AI to the latest approval trends for AI-equipped medical devices and the challenges inherent in the development process.
Companies interested in developing medical devices utilizing AI technology are encouraged to participate.
