[AMED] Announcement of Tokyo Biodesign Healthtech Innovation Day 2026

"Tokyo Biodesign Healthtech Innovation Day 2026," bringing together leading players at the forefront of the health tech field,
It will be held at the International Forum on Wednesday, March 4, 2025!

This year's theme is "Overseas Expansion."
We will invite overseas incubators and hold a panel discussion from the perspectives of industry, government, and academia to discuss the necessary viewpoints for Japanese companies aiming to expand overseas (in the United States).
In addition, we will be inviting a board member from Medtronic, a global medical device manufacturer, to give a special lecture that will include their overseas expansion strategy.
In addition, we have scheduled pitch presentations by researchers and entrepreneurs.

We hope that not only medical device manufacturers and venture capitalists, but everyone involved in medical device development will join us for this annual networking event to gather information.

■ Highlights of this event

Panel session:

The theme of this discussion is "What is necessary for Japan's health tech industry to successfully expand overseas?" We will discuss support measures from government ministries, the utilization of overseas ecosystems, and the ideal form of ecosystems in Japan.
We will approach the topic from various angles, including the challenges faced by startups, barriers to entry in the medical device industry, and the forefront of global strategies, with the participation of overseas incubators.

• Special lecture:
We are pleased to announce that we have invited Rodolphe Katra, Vice President & Global Chief AI Officer of the global medical device company Medtronic.
This presentation will explain how AI is transforming the medical device industry through Medtronic's practical examples, and will focus on the forefront of global strategies to respond to this change.

Pitch presentation:

Through pitches by seed-stage entrepreneurs and researchers, a diverse range of innovative ideas will be presented, including diagnostic equipment, therapeutic equipment, and healthcare devices.
The presenters are looking for funding, founding members, research partners, or component suppliers, so please feel free to use this as a matching opportunity.

Exhibition/exchange:

In the hall (foyer), we are exhibiting business presentations by the speakers on the pitch stage.
Furthermore, at the end of the event, we have planned a networking session for participants and speakers to interact with each other, so please stay until the very end.
