[Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry] Information on consultation services for the FY2026 "Medical International Expansion Consultation Project (Medical Device Sector)"

We are pleased to announce the launch of our free consultation service for the "FY2026 International Medical Expansion Consultation Project (Medical Device Sector)," as detailed below.

The areas of consultation we handle are: (1) Pharmaceutical regulations and (2) Marketing.
*Please note that this applies only to the medical device sector and not to the pharmaceutical sector.
*Applications from pharmaceutical-related businesses, wholesalers, import/export trading companies/agents, consultants, research companies, researchers, and individual healthcare professionals are generally not eligible.

1. Business Overview: Information provision and advisory services in the medical device field.

2. Scope of consultation:
(1) Target area: Medical devices and services in general (excluding pharmaceuticals)
(2) Eligible businesses: Businesses of all sizes involved in medical devices and services in general (excluding pharmaceuticals) *Applications from pharmaceutical-related businesses, wholesalers, import/export trading companies/agents, consultants, research companies, researchers, individual healthcare professionals, etc. are generally not eligible.
(3) Areas and regions we can assist you with: ① Pharmaceutical regulations related Europe, the United States, Asia (ASEAN, East Asia [China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan], Southwest Asia [India]), the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia), Oceania (Australia), Africa (Note) For some regions and countries, we will only be able to provide an overview.
② Marketing-related: Europe, North America, Central and South America, Asia, Oceania, Africa (Note: For some regions and countries, we will provide an overview.)

3. Fee: Free

4. Service period: Until mid-March 2027

5. Consultation method: Either email response or web interview (up to approximately 30 minutes).

6. The process from application to consultation:
(1) Please send your inquiry to the following email address: healthcare@nri.co.jp
*Please include your company name, consultation area, and a brief description of your inquiry in your email.
(2) We will respond by email within four weeks in principle. If necessary, we will conduct an in-person meeting.

7. Other points to note:
(1) Use is limited to approximately 5 times per company.
(2) For consultations concerning multiple countries, a maximum of two countries per consultation is allowed.
(3) Depending on the complexity of the consultation, there may be a delay in our response.
(4) The time it takes to receive a response via email or other means is generally about four weeks.
(5) Interviews will be conducted online in principle.
(6) Please be aware that the consultation content will be compiled anonymously and in a way that does not identify individual companies, and that the consultation content and response results may be published as case studies after being anonymized.
(7) After your consultation, we would appreciate your cooperation in completing a satisfaction survey to help us improve our services.
